New Planter Features & Offerings for 2022
At Kinze, we don’t sit around and rest on our accomplishments—we are always dreaming and innovating the next great product to make farming more accurate, productive, and profitable. For our model year 2022 planters we’ve listened to customer’s suggestions and feedback, and are excited to announce the new features added to our incredible lineup of row crop planters.
True Speed Planters
Headlining the announcement for model year 2022 is the addition of three planter configurations available with True Speed high speed planting technology. This enables farmers to plant at speeds from 5-19 km/h while maintaining precise seed placement and easy singulation of various seed shapes and sizes:
- 4805 24-row, 70 cm bulk fill
- 3605 16-row, 70 cm bulk fill
- 3605 12-row, 70 cm bulk fill
Model year 2022 True Speed equipped planters are available with cotton, sugar beet, and milo seed discs to run with this high speed planting technology.
Just like the 05 Series planters introduced this season, the new True Speed planter configurations will include the newest upgrades that provide improved durability, longer wear life, and increased productivity.
Increased Fertilizer Capacities
What is the last thing a farmer wants to do while planting? Stop, of course. To increase the acres planted before refilling, the 4805 planter will have up to 3 800 L of liquid fertilizer capacity and 6 130 L of dry fertilizer capacity, depending on planter options configuration, for model year 2022.
Row Units
- Double parallel arm bushings with larger wear areas to eliminate arm replacement
- Double row bearing disc opener for increased durability
- Improved scraper material that lasts two times longer than the ’00 series inner scraper
Are you planting in wet conditions and need the cleanout advantages of spoked gauge wheels? For model year 2022, spoked gauge wheels can be ordered on your new Kinze planter as a factory installed option. Not only do they increase planting performance in challenging soil conditions, but also they look cool racing across the field!
Blue Vantage Display
The Blue Vantage display, the easiest to use planter display in the field, continues to gain in popularity and in features. Standard with Blue Drive electric drive and True Speed high speed planters, it will have some significant features for 2022.
- Field coverage data shared by two Blue Vantage displays to allow two or more planters to work together in the same field at the same time.
- Ability to view up to four cameras located on the planter. With this option, one rear-facing camera will be factory installed and up to three more added by the farmer.
- Planters equipped with Blue Vantage, hydraulic weight transfer, and bulk fill scales will now have active hydraulic weight transfer control.
- Support for planting wheat.
Other Planter Displays
Beginning with model year 2022, ISOBUS display connectivity will no longer be an option on Kinze planters. The Ag Leader InCommand 1200 will be the display available for those needing to control planters equipped with electric clutches For 2022, InCommand will also be able to record skips and doubles and perform row-by-row mapping. Also available will be row unit clutches on the 3505 pivot fold planter.
Blue Vantage V3.06 Firmware Release for Spring 2021
For those of you who already own a Blue Vantage display, remember to download the latest firmware with the newest features and enhancements:
- Support True Speed meters for corn and soybeans
- Integrated hydraulic down force control and integrated mapping functions
- Added FMIS support enhancements for Granular Ag Studio
- Support map detail feature
- Support row unit performance test feature to test meters in the field
- Add resettable acre counters
- Ability to lock the outside two row together for poor quality GPS receivers
- Enhancements for planting high population soybeans
- Enhanced diagnostics capture
- Support for PTO piston pump on 4905 and 4705 planters

Active Hydraulic Weight Transfer
4805 and 3605 bulk fill planters equipped with Blue Drive, hydraulic weight transfer, and bulk fill scales will now have ACTIVE hydraulic weight transfer control. The bulk fill scale package will be standard equipment on all Blue Drive planters with active hydraulic weight transfer.

1.5″ vacuum hoses for easier meter removal and serviceability (excluding models 3005, 3035, 3115 and 3505 models)
Variable Displacement Hydraulic Piston PTO
Available with 2 SCVs for model 4805.
